According to a report issued yesterday in the Colchester Evening Gazette, a 2 year old girl suffered a personal injury in a Colchester Aldi store. The head injury which required hospital treatment was caused after an alleged collision with a trolley.
Jo-Leigh Peet Mills was with her mother in the Aldi store when she was in a collision with a trolley being pushed by an unnamed elderly person, the newspaper reports. The toddler was covered in blood and had to attend nearby Colchester General NHS Hospital for treatment.
According to the article, Mrs Peet believes that the store could have done more to help and failed to make a note of the incident in their accident book.
An Aldi spokesman said it was investigating Mrs Peet’s claims. It is not yet clear if Mrs Peet intends to make a claim for supermarket compensation.
